Please note that the announced price increases will only take effect after your current subscription expires, provided that this is after April 1, 2025.

The following Microsoft products will be affected by the change as of April 1, 2025:

  • Microsoft 365
  • Office 365
  • Enterprise Mobility + Security
  • Windows 365
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including Business Central)

Until now, subscription duration was the only factor determining the price. From April 1, 2025, the payment method will also play a role. We therefore recommend checking your contracts in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to consider switching to annual payment at your next renewal.

On-premises licensing: what’s next?

From April 1, 2025, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will no longer be available for new customers as a purchase-based on-premises option. Why did Microsoft make this decision? This step marks another major move away from the traditional purchase model toward subscription licensing with a clear cloud focus.

For existing Yaveon customers with an active Enhancement (maintenance) plan, it will still be possible to expand licenses in their current version – for example, by adding users, objects, or modules.

Yaveon recommends: what you should do now

With the discontinuation of purchase licenses for new customers from 2025, Microsoft is now following its many major technical steps toward the cloud with a licensing shift as well.

As a Yaveon customer, you will of course continue to use and expand your existing on-premises license – guaranteed by your active Enhancement (maintenance) plan.

That said, with the next update, you already have the option to move into the cloud. We are happy to advise you on your individual path to the latest Business Central version.

The biggest advantages:

  • Your solution runs securely on Microsoft data center systems.
  • You benefit from Microsoft’s continuous improvements, functional extensions, and innovations.
  • You are set up for the future with a sustainable solution.
