Summary:
To expand internationally, Schulz Farben- und Lackfabrik needed a solution that would precisely reflect the requirements of the chemical industry. With Yaveon’s industry-specific ERP solution, the company now has integrated quality control, hazardous materials management, production planning, and much more. An ERP solution that grows with the business and secures full visibility.
Schulz Farben- und Lackfabrik GmbH, based in Langenlonsheim in Rhineland-Palatinate, decided to implement a new comprehensive ERP system from Yaveon. The contract covers a complete, standardized ERP suite for finance, production, trade, and quality management. With this, Schulz Farben will be able to meet customer requirements far more effectively in order processing. Schulz Farben develops, produces, and sells paints and coatings for interior and exterior wall design. Solutions for special applications such as floor coatings and wood protection complete the offering. Most products are marketed as private labels for DIY chains, trade supply, and retailers worldwide. With more than 900 proprietary formulations, Schulz Farben covers almost every conceivable customer request – and constantly creates new solutions.
As a service provider, the company supports its customers in designing and marketing their private labels in retail environments. Currently, around 250 employees work at the company’s sites in Germany and Romania.
The previous ERP solution, in use since 2003, no longer met Schulz Farben’s requirements. It either had to be replaced by a modern platform or updated to the latest version – the latter being cumbersome and without modernizing the process structures. Therefore, Schulz Farben- und Lackfabrik opted for the introduction of an industry-specific ERP solution based on Microsoft ERP. Yaveon’s industry-specific ERP solution was developed specifically for the process industry and, thanks to its integrated quality management modules, production planning systems, and standardized hazardous materials management interface to epos, is well suited for the paints and coatings industry.
A module for time tracking and payroll management in Dynamics will also be used at Schulz Farben. In addition, supplier evaluation, scanner dialogues, load carrier management, ATLAS customs export with sanctions lists, and integrated workflows enable highly automated business processes across the entire value chain. This ensures that the company’s high standards of quality are consistently supported. “We are pleased to have found in Yaveon a convincing partner at eye level who speaks our language,” explain Alexander Böhler, Managing Director, and Maximilian Mertz, Head of IT at Schulz Farben- und Lackfabrik, about the ERP selection.
