Summary:
In order to expand internationally, Schulz Farben- und Lackfabrik needed a solution that precisely mapped the requirements of the chemical industry. With Yaveon's industry-specific ERP solution, the company realizes integrated quality control, hazardous materials handling, production scheduling and much more. An ERP solution that grows with the company and ensures an overview.
Schulz Farben- und Lackfabrik GmbH in Langenlonsheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, has decided to introduce a new comprehensive ERP system from Yaveon. The order includes a complete, standardized ERP suite for finance, production, trade and quality management. Schulz Farben will thus be able to implement customer requirements much more effectively in order processing. Schulz Farben develops, produces and sells paints and varnishes for interior and exterior wall design. Solutions for special applications such as floor coatings and wood protection complete the range. Most of the products are sold as private labels by DIY chains, craftsmen's supplies and retailers worldwide. With more than 900 formulations developed in-house, Schulz Farben covers almost every conceivable customer requirement - and is constantly creating new solutions.
As a service provider, the company supports the design and marketing of its customers' own brands on the sales floor. Around 250 employees currently work at the sites in Germany and Romania.
The previous ERP solution, which has been in use since 2003, no longer meets Schulz Farben's requirements. It must therefore either be replaced by a modern platform or upgraded to the latest version - the latter is costly and would not modernize the process structures. Schulz Farben und Lackfabrik therefore decided to introduce an industry-specific ERP solution based on Microsoft ERP. The industry-specific ERP solution from Yaveon was developed specifically for the process manufacturing industry and is well suited to the paint and varnish industry thanks to its integrated quality management modules, production planning systems and standardized hazardous substance management interface to epos.
A module for time recording and the administration of wages and salaries in Dynamics will be used at Schulz Farben. In addition, supplier evaluation, scanner dialogs, load carrier management, ATLAS customs export with sanctions lists and integrated workflows enable highly automated business processes across the entire value chain. This means that the high quality standards that Schulz Farben sets for itself can also be consistently supported. "We are delighted to have found a convincing partner in Yaveon who speaks our language," say Alexander Böhler, Managing Director, and Maximilian Mertz, Head of IT at Schulz Farben- und Lackfabrik, explaining the ERP selection.
